Apps to SD card question?

Why do people say it’s bad to move apps to the SD card on mobile devices, but Nintendo devices like the 3DS and Switch do it just fine?

It is a combination of (1) the OS not being designed for apps to be installed on the SD card, and (2) the app developers not designing the apps to let the data location be independent of the app location.

SD cards are also inherently less reliable than onboard memory. If the card fails or corrupts, it can cause data loss or a system crash.

I’ve heard this before but that hasn’t stopped Nintendo from allowing SD storage for games and apps on their systems.

It's simple.sd cards are no where faster as internal memory.

Run a disk utility tool .u will see the RR speed of internal disk is close to 500mb but a class 8 is around 44mb!
Sure u can get the highest class of SD,but how many people buys that.so long story short ,Google doesn't want to destroy the user experience and don't want to rely on customers as to when will they buy high speed SDs
