How do i fix unfortunatly my gmail has stopped

My gmail, out of the clear blue, has started giving me the error msg that my gmail has stopped. I did clear the cache as you suggested to this other person. That did not help it at all

In that case, try clearing the data as well for the app.

Thank you. I did try clearing the data & for now that appears to have stopped the app from stopping. Really appreciate the help.

i had same exact problem and was stumped 4 awhile then it dawned on me! wat it was do u have a security app. installed ,im betting u do you've locked your email so the next time that mess. comes up slide finger left to right2 the ok it will open . u cn go to app. locker n your security app and unlock that way also i hope this helps

I've done the clear cashed thing if I clear data will I lose my emails any help appreciated
