If messages are deleted from messages+ backed in messages

I have always used messages +. Recently deleted some and need them back. Tried restoring them and got nothing. Was wondering if they may be backed up or retrievable from the other message app on my galaxy s8.

They're stored in a database file, which you most likely can't get to unless you root the phone. And you'd need a SQLite editor and knowledge of SQL - there's going to be one field in each record that lets the phone know whether the message is deleted or active. You have to find the deleted ones and update them to active.

So, basically, no you can't "reactivate" deleted messages.
