If someone sends you a text through Textra will it appear on your phone bill?

it's a regular sms app that uses sms API.

Textra is an SMS app, one of the many.

All SMS messages you receive will be accounted for by your carrier's billing.
There will be no indication as to which SMS app your sender is using.

Instant message apps, like WhatsApp and Apple's iMessage, use your internet connection to send their messages using their own servers. This is completely different and separate from the standard SMS system.
