What can be done if the touch screen on my S2 Nook is unresponsive?

[Android Central Question]

I have a Samsung S2 Nook. When reading my book, the screen freezes. It does not scroll, does not change modes to the other screen, etc. I tried cleaning it, but that didn't work, and it does not have a crack to collect dirt. I do have a glass cover on the screen, but that's not been a problem before, and it's almost as old as the Nook--just a few weeks newer.
