Android Central Question

When i first got my phone, I could type my email address without having to tap to the special character screen. It had an @ symbol on the left bottom and a .com symbol on the right bottom. Don't know what I've done, probably playing with the different keyboards, but I can't find it, and I'm certain it was the default Samsung keyboard, which is what I'm using but it isn't there! I've searched through all the settings but must be missing something!

Sounds a lot like the LG keyboard.
Check your phone settings to see what your current keyboard is.
(settings > general > language & keyboard > current keyboard)
