I'm using android auto on my phone and tonight I noticed it went into a dark mode (the maps usually go into dark mode but never the main app or spotify for example) which it hadn't done before. Tonight all the apps were black and it was awesome. However, I had to close the app and when I reopen it, it went back to the normal day mode (way too bright for night driving). I'm not sure how it got to the night mode and I don't know how to activate the night mode automatically. Do you know if there's an option to enable it?

Did you get this to work? I'm having the same issue, and forcing night mode in dev options does nothing.
