Android Central Question

Just got a new phone and want to manually add contacts. The choice of save to local or sim came up, alas I don't know the difference.

What device did you get? I didn't think saving to the SIM was a thing anymore.

A local contact would be one stored locally in the device memory. A SIM contact would be one stored on the SIM card - this option COULD have limited capacity based on how much info you save with each contact. If you can - I would try for a 3rd option, save to a Google account so that the information is backed up.
