OK google is opening a keyboard not speech recognition.

I have tried changing google voice settings, uninstalled gkeyboard and re installing, dumped cash. I updated from a g4 play transferring with Google backup. If I change a setting in google, voice, it works once and then opens a keyboard after saying OK google, no more voice. I have to push the mike button to get voice to work. I use OK google all the time and need it working. It worked fine on the G4 Play.

Why hasn't anyone answered this question?
This has been driving me crazy ever since I got
my Note 4. If you say "OK Google" you obviously
want to use voice recognition, not a keyboard.
