When I try to set up my Zenwatch 2 to my Galaxy S7 with Android Wear, the watch starts up fine. When I start Android Wear to pair, the phone says "Getting your watch details", and the watch says "Continue setup on phone" under a revolving circle. After about 1/2 an hour the watch continues with its message, but the phone changes to "Couldn't update your watch". A look at the watch details shows that it thinks it is connected. The Bluetooth connects on the phone will list the Zenwatch as connected, but Android Wear no longer recognizes the connection.
The phone and the watch have both been restarted or rebooted several times, and Android Wear has been uninstalled and reinstalled just about every time I try pairing. How can I get this thing to work?
While neither the phone nor the watch have been modified, the developer options on both have been activated.
