Pixel 2 / 2 XL Camera aspect ratio settings.... really !!!

When did 4 x 3 become the norm for taking the highest res pictures?

Why did Google make the top 3 MegaPixel aspect ratios 4 x 3 ????

16:9 does not get a settings option until 8MP?

I NEVER take 4:3 or lazy protriate images, only 16:9 landscape pix and I want the advertised 12.2MP for 16:9.

Also, the audio quality on videos is terrible !

Anyone have an opinion? I'm taking my Pixel 2 XL back !!!

I think it happened a long time ago. It’s certainly so on the Nexus 5.
