I can't watch Twitch streams on my Galaxy S4

[Android Central Question]

I have a Galaxy S4, model number SGH-M919, Android version 4.4.4

On both Firefox app and Chrome app, twitch streams dont work, the thumbnail shows but after I press play a black screen appears and it says "3000: Media resource decoding error".
I tried different quality settings, refreshed the page, but nothing works.
On the Twitch app, audio works, but the stream is black and white and totally pixelated.

By the way, youtube videos and youtube live streams work perfectly.

How can I fix this? thanks in advance

I'd guess that 4.4.4 can;t decode the video format that Twitch is using. I don't know how far the updating went with the S4, but if 4.4.4 is it, you're out of luck.
