    The image file .jpg is not supported and was deleted.
    I get this message and the same one for .png images on my Samsung Galaxy S6 when received on text messages. It hasn't always done it though.

    Put a .jpg file in the phone, where you can get to. Then, in My Files, get to that file and tap it. It should open. If it doesn't, you may have deleted the app that was being used to show it. The same for .png files. (Phones don't open picture files, apps do.)
