I want to remove pin and keep fingerprint for locking and unlocking

I want to remove pin code and keep fingerprint for unlocking the galaxy note 8

Well on my Galaxy S8, you can't. The PIN code is a backup in case the fingerprint doesn't work. Mine never asked me for the PIN code unless I'm changing a security setting or have just reset my phone

On my V20 you can't either. (And on power on, you have to use the code once.)
