    So I did the reset but all that comes up now is a blue wall paper screen. I can access settings and all that but can't actually open any of the downloaded apps. I no longer have the original android home screen. I need help opening apps and getting that back

    The only apps you should have are the ones that came with the box - all the ones you downloaded (or installed) are gone. That's what a factory reset is - it resets the device to the way it was when it left the factory.

    If you don't even have that, you may have to reflash the firmware. See if this helps.
