Keyboard covers what I'm typing on Instagram

[Android Central Question]

The keyboard on my new L30+ is covering up what I'm trying to type when sending DM's in Instagram. Doesn't seem to be a problem anywhere else. I've downloaded a new keyboard and that doesn't work. So frustrating!

If by L30+ you mean the LG V30+, than I would the advice of bringing up the navigation buttons/home buttons and pressing the small arrow, forcing them to stay. This solved the issue for me.

I had the same issue on my LG G5, I had hidden my on screen navigation buttons inside Instagram (the back, home and multitasking"buttons") and I turned them back on so that and this fixed the problem.

My keyboard was covering up my IG text box and I became really irate. After a few days I just played with it. What happened to fix it is that there is a very small box in the left hand corner when you hit the back bottom. I tapped on it and my problem was solved. I'm working with an LG V30.

Did you find a solution? I've been dealing with the same thing on my iPhone X for like two months. super annoying, the text box disappears all the time when trying to reply to a message. Thanks.

Go to settings : lock/hide icon for home screen and uncheck Instagram

For the LG G6 I solved this by going to Settings/Display/Home touch Buttons and slid the Instagram slider to the left to turn of the home touch buttons within Instagram. This allowed the text box to be seen above the keyboard.

Lg stylo 4 problem

The last couple of days I have the problem my keyboard is covering my DM on Instagram. I read through some of these solutions they either didn't work but incredibly vague in exactly what you do to solve this. Going to my phine settings did not work can someone be of assistance that knows how to solve this problem ? Please be specific the little box in the left hand corner made no sense. I have a LG stylo 4

FINALLY after days of frustrating fiddling I was able to correct it my keyboard back to normal. What you should do is this : While on any DM page in Instagram, look at the very bottom - to the very far left of the screen while your navigation buttons are showing. There you should see a small button (mine looked like a dot). Press that button and it will instantly revert back to normal screen settings.

I have an lg aristo 2 and after reading some of the comments I went to my setting and went to display then i went to home touch buttons and went under hide home touch buttons and unchecked Instagram and that fixed my keyboard issue

I figured it out! When I brought up the navigation buttons to leave instagram a tiny black square appeared to the left of the arrow. I hit that button and problem solved. Hope it works for you!

(clear): How to solve

you selected this option in your android phone. swipe up from the bottom of the screen and open the android menu while instagram is open . on the left side of this android menu while instagram is open , there is a little square in the bottom left that you can now select this will fix the problem but will make the viewing screen of instagram smaller.

What??? There is no "lock/hide icon for home screen" in "settings". "Lock screen and security" is the only thing that mentions screen, but that has nothing to do with this.
