    app landing point?
sry, new to Android, ex windows phone user.

is it standard android(nokia 6) that when you select an app it goes to the spot you last were in that app?
I am used to the app starting from scratch.

can be annoying have to back out several steps, depending on the app; seems more intuitive to me that if you start the app from the home screen you want to start the app, if one wanted to start from the last spot you would go into recent items via the btm right button?

am using the std launcher (trying all things std android, don't see the point of emulating windows on android)

Welcome to Android Central! It depends on a few things:

    1. If you're in an app, and then you tap Home, the app will stay on the page you were on when you open back up.

    2. If you're in an app, and then you tap Back until the app exits, and then you open it again, it will open to its main page.

    3. If you're in an app, and then you tap Home, but then you do a lot of other things (like opening other apps), then by the time you open that app back up, it might have been automatically cleared out of RAM by the system in order to make room for the other apps you were using. In this case, when you open the app back up, it will open to the main page.

    4. At any point, if you tap the Recent Apps button and then swipe away the app, that will close it out of RAM, and when you open it again, you'll see the main page.
