I'm looking for a good call recording app. I've tried a few, but so far none is ideal. Instead of trying them all (there are lots) I thought I'd ask on a couple of forums first.

Here are the features I'd like to have:
    • Good sound quality (of course)
    • Small files, with selectable format (mp3, amr, etc.)
    • Automatic sync with clous storage (Google Drive, etc.)
    • Import call recordings from other apps
    • Configurable location for recordings
    • Editing capability
    • File renaming and or tagging with keywords
    • Option to skip recording at beginning or during call, and either delete immediately or keep the recorded segment
    • Always record/never record numbers list
    • Incoming/outgoing/both selection
    • Playback destination selection - speaker/earpiece/both

Currently I'm using the free Call Recorder by Stan Seaton. It works reasonably well, but doesn't have everything I'm looking for.

All recommendations welcome. Please specify the publisher when making recommendations since all these apps seem to have the same name.

    Thanks

There are a few things you'll never find unless you write an app yourself:

    • Small files, with selectable format (mp3, amr, etc.)
Very few, if any, phone recorder apps allow changing the file type.

    • Import call recordings from other apps
Unless they use the same file type, no. (And unless the app aloow you to save on the SD card, the phone will have to be rooted.

    • Configurable location for recordings
??? If you mean adding your GPS location to the recording, no, unless you put it into the mp3 header manually.

    • Editing capability
No. You can get a sound file editor (Ringtone Maker works fine for that), but not built into the recorder.

    • File renaming and or tagging with keywords
Naming with some. No renaming unless you use a file manager. Tagging only by mp3 tagging apps (if you save the recording as an mp3 file).

    • Always record/never record numbers list
    No.

    • Playback destination selection - speaker/earpiece/both
Plug in the earpiece and it goes there, unplug it and it goes to the speaker. That's hardware, the app can't change it.

Rukbat covers your wish list well.

For what little use it gets, I like this one:
