Headphone controls being buggy

Ever since the new update to Android Oreo, my OnePlus 3T has been having some bugs to do with my apple earpods. Before the update my earbuds would play and pause music normal no problems whatsoever, but since the update, the play and pause features seem to but out. When I click pause sometimes, it pauses for a second then goes back to playing. Same thing vise versa with pausing it. Also when I'm listening to music and in a call at the same time. The music volume becomes extremely loud and when I try to turn it down, the volume doesn't change at all. Even if the music volume is set to 0, it still plays very loudly. If there are any solutions to this it would be very helpful.
