Hi I am looking for recommendations for a cheap backup phone to use when I don't have my main phone. I seem to go through phones pretty fast or have to send them in for repair often and find myself without a phone for a week or 2. For this reason I am looking for a GSM phone compatible with AT&T. MY carrier is H2O but I hear any phone compatible with AT&T should work. I don't really want to spend more than 60$ because it just has to be a phone that can tie me over for small periods

Unless you want to go used and an OLD model, hitting the 60 dollar price point is tough, BUT for around 100 there are some nice choices.....

At that price range (and even lower), I've seen some Android phones on Craig's List. Or hang around one of those (we buy your phone" kiosks (Walmart has them) and see if you can pick up something like an S5 (I bought one, for T-Mobile - the kiosk offered $5, so I offered $10, and I have a spare phone - with a tempered glass screen protector that probably sold for $10). Anything older than that series - S5/Note 4, should be pretty cheap. Even unlocked phones, at that stage, aren't worth more than locked phones.
