At least 3 times a day I get a message that com.google.android.gms is causing performance issues that could drain my battery or cause other apps to run slowly. I have a choice to cancel or close app. Does anyone know why I keep getting this message? Is there a fix to make this stop happening? Should I be concerned about it
    I have a Samsung galaxy j3.
The message appears on the home screen but when I go the device mainenance app I do not see the problem.

Welcome to Android Central! That's a part of Google Play Services, so you don't want to close it. The Device Maintenance app is probably falsely flagging it. Look in the Device Maintenance app's settings and see if you can turn off those notifications.
