Welcome to Android Central! There is no universal transfer tool. Smart Switch only works if you're transferring to a Samsung device. The best thing to do is to make sure as much as possible is in your Google account (e.g., contacts, calendars, music, photos), and not just saved to the local Phone account or to your Samsung account. This way, the information will sync to your Google account in the cloud, and then sync easily to any new phone you log into.

SMS can be backed up and restored using SMS Backup & Restore. You can use Helium for app data.
