Sounds like there's some rogue app using the battery excessively. Are you able to view which apps are using your battery and see if one is excessive? Otherwise go in to safe mode and see if it persist.

Doesn't appear to be. Take a look at these screenshots.

Very interesting. The Next Step I would recommend is putting the phone in Safe Mode and then taking another screenshot after an hour or so and see if that slows down the battery depletion.

So these are with my phone in safe mode and sitting idle with screen off.

Bad battery or new android update?

It looks like you might be getting into too technical of stuff for even me. Was it an update to nougat or just the Verizon security update? They're not usually very helpful in chat, but if you don't get any answers here you might chat with them and see if they have any type of solution. :)

Poor cell signal is a common culprit, and I see that in some of those screenshots, the cell signal strength indicator is only at about 1-2 bars. I see that you have GSam installed -- can you show us the Cell Signal Strength graph over the course of an entire charge?

It does seem to fluctuate a fair amount, with a good amount of time in the medium range. It'd be interesting to see how your battery is if you're in an area of consistently good signal.
