So, I'm pretty excited about the new Honor 7X. Then, I got to thinking. How long should I expect this phone to last? 1 year? 2 years? I know it only $200, but what should we expect?

If you don't let the battery go below 40%, it should last until you want to throw it out. (My 2004 Motorola V551 is still on its original battery. It's useless now, because AT&T is using 3G for voice, but I used it as a quick and dirty, "throw it into my pocket" phone when I needed one.

If you try to get every last ounce of power out of the battery, the way some people do, the battery should last a few months.

But unless the industry changes (like the recent switch to 3G for voice), if you take good care of it, it should still be working long after you wish it wasn't.

Welcome to Android Central. I don't think phones are disposable, no matter the price. It all depends on caring for the battery properly and caring for the device properly (no dropping, no water damage). There is no reason why a less expensive phone shouldn't last at least 2 years. https://www.google.com/amp/s/forums....batteries.html
