How do I fix screen flickering due to water damage?

I dropped my phone in a toilet for a fraction of a second. I put it in rice for a bit and then turned it on. The screen now flickers and occasionally a large part of it goes darker than the rest. What should I do to fix it?

No damage to touchscreen, just the flickering issue.

First take out the battery, put phone in a bag of rice and wait for a couple of days. Put it back together and you'll have your answer, which may be a new phone. Good luck.
