Android Central Question

Hello! I bought a Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge from Ebay that is GSM factory unlocked. I live outside the US, and the phone is for Verizon. When I transfered the SIM card from my old phone to the new S7 Edge, the S7 Edge said "SIM card is not from Verizon Network".

I checked the settings, and my carrier network is recognized. I can call, and others can call my S7 Edge with my old SIM card (since it's the same phone number).

However, the S7 phone itself does not recognize my SIM card's phone number (though the number can be called with the S7 Edge). And I can't use Whatsapp.

Because I live internationally where Verizon is not a carrier, I can't go to some Verizon office to fix this.

Is there a way I can have my S7 recognize the SIM card myself?
