Facebook icon on Home screen missing

I have been trying to add the Facebook icon back on the Home screen several hours. I have been unable to do. Please Help.

Look in your app drawer, then long-press, drag to the left, and drop where you want it.

Find the app in the apps list (usually access through an icon on the homescreen with a matrix of dots in it), long-press the Facebook icon and drag it to where you want it to be on your homescreen. You need to have an open space for it, or you can hover it on another icon to create a folder containing those two apps.
