Android Central Question

Hello guys

I have a Motorola X Pure Edition. Instead of displaying the keyboard the lock screen is showing google voice-to-text input. I know the password and I would like to know if is there a way for me to type the phone password on my computer so I can unlock my phone ?

I've already tried to boot my phone in safe mode and it didn't help.

Thanks

When swiping down with two fingers and then clicking on "settings" icon it also required the password. When it switches to password screen I get back to the original issue.
Sorry for the delay. Have you managed to solve the issue?

My idea was that there could be a notification to change the input method, from Google Voice typing to Gboard.

Another idea, just in case TalkBack is enabled. On older Moto devices you could disable TalkBack swiping like a big "L" on your lock screen. If you get the option to disable it remember to double tap to confirm. Worth a try.

Hello Javier

Yes, I solved the issue by doing a factory reset of my phone. Unfortunately this process implies that one will lose all personal data that is stored on the phone.

My initial idea was to use adb interface to type my password on computer to unlock the phone. However the usb debugging wasn't enabled so I couldn't establish a connection with adb. In the end I gave up and just did a factory reset.

Thanks
