Hi, I own an LG G6. This problem recently started to occur, only within the last 2-3 days. I had noticed that my internet was disconnecting seemingly randomly, but then noticed that it would only disconnect when I turned on my phone. It sounds crazy, but I've tested it 10+ times and every time I turn my phone on, the internet will disconnect for everyone in the house (7 people). The internet will go out if I even so much as look at the lock screen of my phone.

I have tried resetting my router 2 times already, and unplugging and replugging all ethernet cords, power cords, and coaxial cables connected to the router and modem. Not sure what is causing this problem or why, and why it only happens with my phone.

Check the router settings for the number of connections it allows. The default is probably 255, but picking a small number improves security a little.

If the number is set to 6, connections start getting dropped when #7 tries to connect.
