Samsung S6 edge not sending push notifications from an app

[Android Central Question]

So I connected this camera to my wi-fi at home, downloaded the cam app, and set it all up to send me alerts on my phone when the cam detects movement in the room. Well, I'm not getting any alerts. But strangely I downloaded the same app on my old Tab4 and I get notifications there. Anyone with same problem, not able to get notifications from an app on their phone?

Welcome to Android Central! Did you already go to the App Manager, select the cam's app, and check its notification settings? Do you have any power-saving modes turned on? Is Restrict Background Data turned on in the Settings>Data Usage​ menu?
