    Hello,
My iphone 6 was smashed so i decided to switch to Samsung.

I am trying to recover my photos and videos (a very large amount of data) wirelessly. I cant use the cord becauae the phone was damaged beyond repair but i had recently done an iphone update.

With my Samsung connected to my home wifi (which is exceptionally fast) the furthest I have got is 6% while still calculating time on photos and videos. Ive waited hours and it has seemed to time out. Ive also tried resetting and doing it again about 15 times all together. I have turned off the dual security on icloud where it sends a text to an ios device.

It does the preliminary small backup of contacts etc with no problem so i know there is no problem accessing the icloud account.

    Thank you

Welcome to Android Central! You may want to post your question here as well, since it may be more of an iPhone question: https://forums.imore.com/. But maybe you shouldn't mention you're moving to an S8.

If you have an iTunes backup, the SmartSwitch program for PC/Mac can restore from that to your phone via cable.
