Finding imei number of lost phone

Someone stole my phone last night (yeah, merry christmas huh?) and I need to find the imei number for the police report. Ive checked several places in my google account under my recently used devices but unlike i am reading online it doesnt show the imei, just the model number (samsung i9300). Anyone know what i am doing wrong? Or if google stopped storing this information because every online guide shows it.

Call your carrier. Not only can they give you the IMEI they also can take steps to help protect your account with them.

Your cell provider will know it if you contact them. I'm a Verizon customer and I can see the IMEI of each device on my account with my Verizon, I also know their computer system shows every device ID ever active on your number.
