Samsung Galaxy S8 Battery not charging

I am extremely frustrated with my Galaxy S8 not charging after battery go to zero. Verizon has replaced my phone 4 times with me currently waiting for another replacement phone which will not arrive until Wednesday January 3. Today is New Year eve. WTH is going on with Samsung phones. This is forcing me to consider a Apple device for first time since my first galaxy S1 over 9 years ago. Enough is enough! Does anyone have a viable solution?

First, why does the battery go to zero? Is that how you normally use the phone?

You should never allow the battery to go below 40%. If you can't charge it when it does, turn the phone off until you can charge it.

When the battery is at 0%, it can take an hour or two on the charger before the battery even begins to charge (it's going through what's called pre-charge until then). Charging a completely dead battery can lead to an explosion. (Lithium batteries are not deep discharge batteries.)
