My first question would be, have you tried restarting the phone?
Has this keyboard issue been there since you first got the phone or has it been a recent issue? Sometimes if you fiddle with certain keyboard settings it can create issues.

Sometimes doing a 'Factory Reset' can get rid of little bugs in the software. It might just be a little glitch.
