I was searching the web for a smart flip phone and found the Samsung SM-G1600 Folder 2 on eBay. I liked it, asked the selling company a lot of questions and got satisfying answers. So I bought and it worked fine at first. However, it turned out to be a flashed Chinese version with Google services and language packs pre-installed. . After a couple od weeks an update problem forced me to factory reset the item which was done by Samsung Smart Switch. After rebooting, I had a Chinese phone in my hand and Google was gone as well as many languages and other applications.

Now, my question here is if there is any way to reinstall Google. Without Google I feel completely lost although I can connect to Internet via WiFi and I can download apps like Chrome and Firefox etc., but they don't install...

I know that there are many very clever users out there who might have the solution to my problem.

Any help will be highly appreciated,

Welcome to Android Central! Are you certain it's a genuine Samsung phone, and not a clone? Use an app like CPU-Z to see which CPU the phone has. If it's anything besides Qualcomm, it's a clone.

    Thank you, Diddy.
As far as I know the device is a genuin Samsung Galaxy Folder 2 powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 1.4GHz quad-core. I did not check with the CPU-Z as I am not sure how to use it and I don't want to make things worse. I have tried to download apps like Google Chrome, Firefox, Skype etc. from Play Store and they download but don't install with the message"you have no device...". I have access to internet with Samsung Internet.

Diddy, we just lost a couple of posts... My answer to your last question about the Smartr Switch is:

I believe I can, but if I do I will be back to square one again - all in Chinese (difficult to navigate back to the language setting) and the downloads i managed to do will be gone as well as my Samsung and Firefox accounts and Samsung Internet update etc.. I have not tested if the phone works as a phone with sms after the reset but I believe it does... I tried to reset the device 2-3 times right after I got the link from Samsung but it made no difference.

The Folder was released only to the Chinese Market, hence there is no actual international version with Google services. You'd have to flash the Google Framework and apps into it so Google Apps can install and work. However this is device specific and I have no idea where to get the files needed for the Folder.

Yes, in this case the supplier modified the devices with Google and languages to attract a wider market. I have been searching for the files you mention without success, however I know from xda that they exist as a so called custom ROM.
