Why does my music stop on my s8 when my screen times out

When streaming music on s8 when the screen times out the music stops anyone know why

Check the data usage settings. The default may be to "stop all downloads" or "turn off wifi" when the lock screen comes up.

Check the phone's list of apps and their permissions to see if "use data in the background" has been turned off for your music app.

Welcome to Android Central! What are you using to stream music? If it's the browser, that usually doesn't continue playing once the phone sleeps. If your streaming service has an app, use that instead.
