I have an 8GB mini SD card for my (old) Android Motorola phone. Does it matter if I install a program on this card or if I install it in internal storage?
The card doesn't state what class it is but even assuming it is the fastest class 10 (which I doubt it is), would it run as fast as internal storage?
    Thanks,
    Dan

The internal storage is definitely faster.

The internal memory is faster. If the SD card is a very fast one, the speed difference might not be all that much; but the internal memory would still be faster.

Note: not all phones makers allow apps to be stored on the SD card, not all versions of android support apps on the SD card, most apps will not let themselves be moved to the SD card.

The SD card is a great place for your photos, music, videos, and documents.
