    The sim card is new and so is the phone. Mobile anti theft is activated but I don't remember entering a password. Actually there is no password put in by me.

    If you remove the SIM card, does it still ask? If not, it's in the SIM card, so ask your carrier. If it is, and the phone is used or refurbished, someone left his old password (and his old Google account) in it. Even if it's "new", if it was bought, then returned, someone could have left a Google account in it. (And the phone is therefore refurbished, not new.)

    If it's really new, it could be the anti-theft app. If you don't remember a password for that, email the developer.
