I have a galaxy note 4 edge on android 6.0.1 that I bought off of eBay for $50 and it the reason it was that cheap was because it cant get reception for networks. I got it to the point where the reception comes for abut 5 seconds then goes away. I wanted to know if there's anything I can do software wise to resolve the issue. Before you ask it came factory data reset and I cleared the cache partition and I also added a mobile network name ( If you know what I mean by that). Anything would help thanks.

Yes it does perfectly. Nothing wrong with that. It is also on T-mobile. Forgot to say that

I’ve only ever seen that on another LG which surprisingly was from T-Mobile too. I tried and tried and couldn’t get it to work software wise. Sure it’s clean and not blacklisted? That could affect it too.

I think it’s the network chip inside. I would still try a new SIM card reader as a cheap fix first

Ok I'm not looking to fix it as I use a moto z2 force as a daily driver. I just got it because the AMOLED panel was fine and it had no cracks and it was for $50. Which is rare to find.
