Android Google play takes years..

[Android Central Question]

Alright so basically I want to install apps but when I do it says downloading for hours and one day its gonna start installing

What ive noticed is that apps start installing at the sametime I receive Gmail notification

Don't ask me to factory reset my phone, I did it twice and its still doing it, I tried every method Google ask to do.. I REALLY hope someone can find the problem because I really cant wait hours anymore.

Welcome to Android Central! Does this happen on both wi-fi and mobile data?

Try going to Settings>Apps>All, select Google Play Store, and Clear Cache/Clear Data, then Force Stop. Do the same for Download Manager. Now try again.
