My Bluetooth wont recognise a device yet my friends phones do recognise it!

I bought a Modius headset and tried for the first time to pair the device to my Samsung Note 3, my Bluetooth upon scan cannot find the device however my friends phones bluetooth can find the device! Please Help/Advise?

Are you running the Modius app? According to the instructions I've found, it won't pair like a normal Bluetooth headset, it will only pair to its own app. (The app is in the Play Store.)
