Android Central Question

My objective is to "project" the Waze information on my smartphone to the large display in my GM vehicle. The vehicle has Android Autoplay. The manual and salesperson indicates there is an app called "projection" but I am unable to locate it in the Google store.

Waze is an approved Android Auto app. Install Android Auto and make Waze your navigation app and it should display on your vehicle's screen.

What year model is your GM vehicle? Android Auto and the projection icon are only available in 2016 models and later I believe.

I use it in my 2017 Camaro and it works almost flawlessly.

Also, there is no such thing as Android Autoplay. Are you confusing this with Apple Carplay?

Some 2016 models require an update to the infotainment system at the dealership to get Android Auto installed to the MyLink system, but Apple Carplay is already installed in 2016 models.
