Title is the question. Maybe Fi is not the best choice for me but at the moment I have made the switch. I am.using an LTE router on Verizon, I am wondering if there are LTE Routers that use any Sim chip and can be used in the house with Google Wifi

Yup, just search for a Mobile Hotspot that's not SIM-locked to a carrier and you're good to go (and, obviously, make sure the hotspot supports the bands you'll be using with Fi). Netgear makes some, I believe, as well as Huaweii (the latter I've seen in China, not sure if they are sold States-side).

You might also find them as 'MiFi' devices.
