My sister unplugged her phone when she noticed her charger was breaking, but as soon as she did the screen went black. I reset it and did a “force reboot” (holding down the power button and volume down button). The screen lit up while it was resetting (showing the T-Mobile screen and stuff) but immediately shut off. How can we fix this?

Welcome to Android Central! How did she notice the charger was breaking? Was it smoking or melting?

Plug the phone into a wall outlet with a reliable charger and let it charge undisturbed for at least 6 hours. Then press and hold Power for 20 seconds -- does it turn on?

The part you plug into the phone was bending. And I’ll try that, thank you!

Also, look closely at the phone's microUSB port. Do the pins look damaged or bent?
