What is the best method to charge my phone?

I have a Mate 10 and I want to know is it damage my battery if its charging overnight or not? and is harmful if I disconnect charging before its complete? Whats the best method to extending my battery life? Whats the best method for charging?

Much talk of lithium life cycle. In a nutshell, charge it to 100 % when new. You can use most chargers non stop as a matter of convenience, but a shortening of battery life down to 500 cycles from a possible 1000 to 1200 if you were to keep the battery in a constant state of 40 to 80 percent.
Heat is a large component of shortened battery life which maybe as important as your charging practices.
Why wouldn't there simply be a function or app to stop charging at a desired maximum as Tesla has done? Probably because of planned obsolescence and capitalism imo.

keeping the charge between 40%-80% is the best thing.
