My Sony Xperia updated and when I try to open an app, I'm getting this message and I do not want a lock screen at all.

I will not ever buy a Sony phone again. Every month they update and ruin the phone I fixed the prior month.

Any help appreciated...please and thank you.

Credential storage stores your, um, credentials, right? That would be usernames and passwords? Do you want those secure? Without a PIN lock, that would be openly available to anyone that has physical access to your device. By the way, new devices come with device encryption enabled, which requires SOME type PIN, even if you don't have it for unlocking the screen you'll need one for unlocking the phone when your reboot it (this applies to Apple also!)

And I do not want a Pin or Password...and I didn't have one until the update.

The bad thing is , I can't get my work schedule on my phone now because I get that error instead of the work app opening up.

Some (most?) companies impose a lock screen requirement to keep company data secure.

Is there a way to roll back the update then? It was a Sony phone update not a company update.

I have had 7 or 8 premium Samsung phones and have never been forced to use a lock screen or pin. I would never purchase from a company who thought they knew best when it came to operating my phone.

My reference to "company" was in response to the poster saying they were trying to get work connections set up.

So the update was initiated by Sony Xperia...no one else at work has to use a lock screen, so it is a Sony issue, not a work issue.

Do you have any banking apps or the Android Pay app? These types of apps usually require the phone's lock screen to be enabled.
