Sim card not working

[Android Central Question]

Ive had my samsung sim card for ages, i have never had a problem with it. Last night, the power and home button werent working. So i removed the battery and put it back in and it was working. This time i had a no signal sign in the notifications bar. Ive tried wiping over it. Cleaning the actual place where the Sim card goes, put it in a different spot. Nothing is working. Whats wrong with it??
