Android Central Question

Here's a crazy hardware idea I figure someone has thought of but is potentially, technically impossible. Would it be possible to have a wired headphone where the end is actually a split wire, one connector is USB-C and the other connector is a 3.5mm headphone jack (male)?

I own a Moto Z (1st Gen) which is USB-C input, but when I travel I have a laptop or tablet that only has a 3.5mm jack. My dream case is to cut out the dongle-requirement and just have a pair of headphones that goes into the USB-C port for music on the Moto and then the 3.5mm jack for Netflix, etc. seamlessly.

Impossible or simply improbable?

Possible - it would need a type c USB hub with one earphone jack (I'd use a 3.5mm patch cord if you're looking to connect to the laptop. But a seriously doubt that we'll see hubs as an integral part of a phone. As a plugin, yes, but not a plug and cable built into the phone, then a USB-C port in addition.
