Android Central Question

I have a lot of music on my SD card. Most of it is in Apple's ALAC lossless format. Google Play Music can't play those files. But the hundreds of albums still show up in my Play Music library. Pretty annoying. I use RocketPlayer for my local ALAC files, and I wish to use G. Play Music in the same fashion as Spotify - just streaming and playing/seeing music I have downloaded from their database. Is this possible?

Welcome to Android Central! I don't think you can selectively hide it in the GPM app only. Adding a ".nomedia" file in the directory where your music is stored would prevent GPM from seeing the files, but I think that would also prevent RocketPlayer from seeing them as well.
