How can I remove apps from my phone that I will never use and therefore are just wasting space?

Android Central Question

Such as: maps, newsstand or even chrome. These are some apps I just won't use and the space would be better occupied by something I want.

Welcome to Android Central! Most apps that are preinstalled can't be removed unless you root the phone. You can save a little space by going to Settings>Apps, tapping the app, then tapping Disable. This will revert the app to its factory version (which is usually significantly smaller than the most current update), and will also prevent the app from being updated by the Play Store.
